Videographer/Video Editor (Hybrid)

About the Role

The Videographer/Video Editor functions as the primary in-house production resource for the Air and Space Forces Association, covering everything from live event coverage and interview shoots to post-production workflow and social-first content. A typical week moves between pre-production planning, on-site shooting at AFA conferences or studio-based virtual events, and editorial sessions building out finished pieces with color, audio mix, and motion graphics. This is not a support role, it is the seat.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate professional cinema cameras, mirrorless systems, gimbals, and sliders across live events and controlled studio environments, managing multi-source audio capture with lavaliers and boom mics.
• Design and animate custom lower thirds, logo reveals, and data visualizations in After Effects as part of a consistent branded post-production workflow.
• Perform color correction and color grading to establish unified visual tone across all deliverables, from long-form event edits to short-form social reels.
• Mix and master location audio in Adobe Audition, incorporating royalty-free and custom music beds and sound effects to picture.
• Produce motion graphics, complex infographics, and illustrated content to simplify policy or program messaging for general and membership audiences.
• Manage file organization, project archives, and export specs across multiple distribution targets including web, mobile, and broadcast formats.

What You Bring

• Three to five or more years of hands-on multimedia production experience spanning field acquisition and post-production.
• Expert-level command of Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, and Media Encoder.
• A showreel demonstrating both field-shooting capability and clean motion graphic design work, with examples of branded content or event coverage preferred.
• Working knowledge of camera mechanics, lighting setups including LED panels and softboxes, codec behavior, and frame rate standards.
• Experience directing on-camera talent or interview subjects in non-scripted production environments.
