FreeCast is hiring a Streaming Video Editor to join their post-production team in Orlando, Florida. This role sits inside the editorial department, where the focus is on cutting long-form television programming and short-form promotional content for distribution across FreeCast’s FAST channel lineup. It’s a fit for an editor who has worked in broadcast, OTT, or post-production workflow environments and is comfortable owning projects from first assembly through final delivery.

About the Role

You’ll be working within FreeCast’s creative team, cutting content specifically for Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television channels, which means your output goes directly to air on a streaming television platform. The day-to-day work spans both 22 to 48-minute episodic-length programs and shorter promotional spots at :15, :30, and :60 formats. You’ll also be expected to step into existing After Effects projects to adjust graphics and lower thirds, so post-production workflow knowledge beyond just the timeline is part of the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit long-form television programming in the 22 to 48-minute range for delivery across FreeCast’s FAST channel distribution network.
• Cut and repurpose long-form content into :15, :30, and :60 promotional spots that meet broadcast and streaming delivery specs.
• Navigate and modify existing Adobe After Effects projects, including lower thirds, broadcast graphics, and other templated motion graphics elements.
• Encode and transcode final deliverables using Adobe Media Encoder, maintaining compliance with professional video format and delivery requirements.
• Troubleshoot editorial, software, and post-production workflow issues independently and implement solutions without waiting for direction.
• Manage multiple projects against overlapping deadlines, organizing project files and assets according to established production standards.

What You Bring

• 3 to 5 years of professional video editing experience in broadcast television, post-production, advertising, or a comparable production environment.
• Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro as a primary editing tool, with working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder.
• Demonstrated experience cutting both long-form episodic content and short-form broadcast spots.
• Familiarity with FAST channel, OTT, or streaming television delivery requirements is a plus.
• A portfolio or demo reel that shows both long-form and short-form editorial work across production types.
