Job Type
Virginia Economic Development Partnership is hiring a Videographer/Editor to join their Virginia Talent Accelerator Program in Richmond, VA. This role sits at the intersection of corporate video production and industrial filmmaking, producing recruitment videos, new-hire training content, and lifestyle shoots for major advanced manufacturing, technology, and biopharma clients expanding operations across the state. It’s a strong fit for a camera operator and editor who has spent real time on factory floors and knows how to capture complex industrial processes without slowing production down.
About the Role
The Videographer/Editor works within a video services team that includes producers, additional camera operators, and a Managing Director of Video Services, typically shooting multi-camera with a second or third videographer on every project. Output ranges from commercial-grade recruitment spots to customized onboarding and training video for specific equipment, processes, and procedures at client facilities. On any given shoot day, that means rigging lights in a heavy manufacturing plant in the morning and cutting a stylized Virginia lifestyle piece in post by the following week.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Sony FX3 and FX30 camera systems with appropriate lenses and gimbal stabilization to capture manufacturing processes accurately in real time.
- Design and execute professional lighting setups across diverse production environments, from biopharma cleanrooms to heavy industrial facilities.
- Edit projects end-to-end in Adobe Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for basic compositing and motion graphics needs.
- Collaborate with Instructional Designers, Talent Acquisition specialists, and Onboarding teams to shape video content that serves specific training and recruitment workflows.
- Manage, maintain, and prepare all camera and grip package inventory so the team is production-ready at any time.
- Contribute to gear acquisition discussions and creative strategy sessions, and travel up to 40 to 60 days per year across Virginia and occasionally nationally or internationally for location shoots.
What You Bring
- Minimum five years of professional video production experience with documented work in corporate video and manufacturing environments.
- High-level editorial proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and functional working knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
- A reel or portfolio demonstrating industrial and commercial production work, which must be included with your application.
- FAA drone certification is preferred, along with broadcast-quality commercial production credits.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license is required for this position.
Why This Role
Virginia Economic Development Partnership works directly with some of the largest companies establishing or expanding operations in Virginia, which means this Videographer/Editor will build a varied production portfolio across advanced manufacturing, biopharma, and technology sectors rather than being locked into a single industry vertical. The hybrid schedule requires at least three days per week in the Richmond office, with meaningful field production time built into the annual workload. The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000, with an application deadline of November 6, 2026.
Apply now for the Videographer/Editor role with Virginia Economic Development Partnership and bring your industrial production background to a program with real scope and variety.
