Job Position(s): Video Editor (Talent Pool)
Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Indigo is building its talent pool for Video Editors based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This role sits within post-production, focused on creating final edits, cutdowns, and market adaptations from approved master creatives across broadcast, social, and web formats. It suits an editor who is as comfortable running quality control on a 9:16 resize as they are spotting a single-frame VFX inconsistency before a file enters a delivery pipeline.

About the Role

Indigo operates at the infrastructure layer of enterprise content production, where one master creative can generate hundreds of versioned assets across global markets. The Video Editor role lives inside that post-production workflow, working alongside VFX supervisors and project managers to make sure every output holds the quality and brand standards of the source material. A typical day involves transcoding deliverables, checking colour and audio integrity, replacing VFX shots, and preparing assets for automated distribution pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create cutdowns and format adaptations, including 9:16, 1:1, and 4:5 resizes, while preserving the story and visual style of the approved master.
  • Replace VFX shots within final edits, verifying timing, alignment, and consistency across every version.
  • Act as the final quality check before assets enter production systems, reviewing video, audio, colour, and VFX elements for single-frame errors and compression issues.
  • Transcode files using correct codecs, colour spaces, and formats, and generate MP4 review copies for client and internal sign-off.
  • Receive, organise, and manage master files from vendors, maintaining clean file structures across large volumes of content.
  • Document and improve quality control workflows so solutions scale across many versions rather than requiring individual fixes each time.

What You Bring

  • Proven video editing experience with a portfolio that spans multiple formats and delivery platforms.
  • Hands-on proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects within a professional post-production context.
  • Working knowledge of VFX workflows, post-production pipelines, and how versioned assets move through them.
  • Strong understanding of codecs, transcoding, compression, and broadcast, social, and web delivery specifications.
  • A reliable high-speed internet connection, a machine capable of handling 4K footage, and sufficient local storage for large project files.
  • EU passport or valid work permit to work from Amsterdam or remotely within an approved location.

Why This Role

This is a talent pool listing, meaning Indigo is qualifying editors ahead of future openings rather than filling an immediate position. The scale of the work is real, content volume is increasing and the quality control layer inside that post-production workflow is where the actual complexity lives. For editors who want to work at the intersection of high-volume asset production and production-grade pipeline management, this is a credible place to plant a flag.
