Videographer

BC Digital is hiring a Videographer based in Sydney, New South Wales, to lead all video production for a marketing agency that works exclusively with builders and trade businesses. This is a single-camera production role responsible for shooting and editing short-form social content and brand video that feeds directly into live ad campaigns across Meta and Google. It suits a self-directing shooter who is equally comfortable on a dusty job site as they are cutting a polished reel in post.

About the Role

The Videographer at BC Digital operates as the agency’s entire production department, owning the shoot from pre-production through to final delivery without a broader crew to lean on. Day-to-day work involves travelling to construction sites, display homes and trade workshops across Sydney to capture project walkthroughs, finished builds and on-camera interviews with business owners. Content goes directly into social media production pipelines and paid ad campaigns, so turnaround speed and an understanding of performance-driven video are central to the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute shoots across Sydney locations, including active construction sites, residential builds and trade workshops, developing shot lists from ad scripts and campaign briefs supplied by the strategy team.
• Direct non-professional subjects on camera, working with tradespeople and business owners to get usable performance without slowing down the production day.
• Shoot short-form vertical video formatted for Meta Reels, Stories and paid social placements, applying knowledge of hooks, pacing and caption placement from the outset of each shoot.
• Edit footage through the full post-production workflow in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut or equivalent, delivering polished cuts on a quick turnaround schedule.
• Manage location audio and lighting setups in uncontrolled real-world environments where conditions change without notice.
• Maintain and track all gear, footage archives and project files to keep the production library organised and accessible across the team.

What You Bring

• A portfolio demonstrating completed short-form social video or ad content production, submitted as part of your application.
• Hands-on experience operating a camera, managing audio and setting lighting in unpredictable real-world locations rather than controlled studio environments.
• Editing proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut or a comparable non-linear editing system.
• A current Australian driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle for travel to sites across the Sydney metro area.
• Drone operation experience and a Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) is a bonus, as is any background in the construction or trades sector.
