Compensation: Paid - Salary

Wepay is hiring a Cinematographer, Integrated Media based in El Segundo, CA. This role sits within the in-house creative studio and owns the full visual execution of branded video content across marketing campaigns, product features, lifestyle productions, and social content from pre-production through final delivery. It suits a working cinematographer who is equally comfortable leading a full crew and operating solo on a lean set.

About the Role

The Cinematographer, Integrated Media operates inside Wepay’s internal production studio, shooting across a broad slate that includes campaign work, product storytelling, lifestyle content, and internal communications. Day to day, this person is on set running camera and lighting, then stepping into post-production workflow to oversee color and ensure visual continuity through delivery. This is a hands-on position across every stage, not a supervisory seat.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cinematography across commercial and branded video productions, handling camera operation, lighting design, lens selection, and camera movement to execute the intended creative direction.
  • Perform DIT responsibilities on set, including media offload, checksum verification, file organization, and archiving using production-standard backup protocols.
  • Lead the color finishing process, establishing the visual look for each project, performing color correction and grading, and developing project-specific LUTs to maintain image consistency across all deliverables.
  • Direct talent and on-camera interviews when needed, shaping performance and pacing to serve the narrative and visual storytelling goals of each production.
  • Manage review and collaboration workflows through Frame.io, coordinating feedback cycles with Creative Directors, Producers, Editors, and Marketing stakeholders.
  • Integrate AI tools into the production workflow, including applications for storyboarding, compositing, environment creation, and production optimization, while evaluating emerging technologies for ongoing studio development.

What You Bring

  • 5 or more years of professional experience in commercial, branded, or agency video production.
  • A portfolio demonstrating high-end cinematography, lighting, and visual storytelling across multiple production types.
  • Advanced working knowledge of professional cinema cameras, lighting systems, grip, audio, and camera movement tools used in branded content production.
  • Hands-on experience with color grading, LUT development, and post-production workflow management at a professional level.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled production tools and a track record of applying emerging technology within a working studio environment.

Why This Role

Wepay’s in-house studio operates across a wide range of content formats, giving the Cinematographer, Integrated Media consistent access to varied production work without the gaps common in freelance commercial production. The position carries real creative ownership, from visual development through final grade, which is rare in corporate in-house environments. El Segundo offers proximity to the broader Los Angeles production community and its established infrastructure.

Apply now for the Cinematographer, Integrated Media role at Wepay and bring your reel to a studio where the work is made in-house from concept through delivery.
