About the Role

The Social Video Editor and Creator (Short-Form) works within Framestore’s marketing team alongside PR and creative colleagues, pulling from a content library that spans some of the most recognised VFX and production work in the industry. Day-to-day you are ingesting raw footage, selecting moments with social potential, editing to platform spec, and delivering finished assets against campaign and event deadlines. The role requires someone who can move from a rough brief to a publishable cut without a lot of hand-holding.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X, adapting aspect ratios, pacing, and structure to each platform’s native format.
• Translate longer-form marketing, PR, and production content into social-first edits that retain narrative clarity within a 15 to 60 second window.
• Source and log usable footage from Framestore’s existing content archive, identifying moments that translate well to short-form post-production workflow.
• Build out a consistent visual and audio grammar across social channels, maintaining brand coherence without letting it kill the energy of the edit.
• Deliver video assets to support specific campaign launches, industry events, and press moments on deadline without cutting corners on output quality.
• Provide light motion graphics or text overlays where needed, using your judgment on when captions and visual cues serve the content rather than crowd it.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience editing short-form social video content, with a portfolio showing platform-specific work across at least two major social channels.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with a working knowledge of the social media content creation pipeline from ingest to export.
• An understanding of how VFX, animation studio, or production company content performs differently from consumer brand content on social platforms.
• Comfort working with brand guidelines while still making editorial decisions that prioritise audience retention over corporate polish.
• Experience supporting marketing or PR teams in a production or post-production environment is a clear advantage.
