About the Role

The Video Editor works within the Post-Production department under the Director of Post-Production, touching a wide range of content including Ben Shapiro’s Debunked, Jordan Peterson documentaries, host originals, and daily podcast episodes. A typical day involves pulling raw footage, building assembly edits, refining cuts to picture lock, and delivering finished files across multiple digital formats. The post-production workflow here spans transcoding, archiving, template management, and close editorial collaboration with department leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit daily podcasts, episodic shows, and long and short-form promotional content from assembly through final finishing edit.
• Transform raw camera footage into polished, story-driven cuts that meet the creative direction established by the Post-Production department.
• Convert, transcode, and compress media files to conform to post-production and platform delivery specifications across digital video formats.
• Build and maintain project templates in Adobe Premiere Pro to support consistent editorial workflows across multiple concurrent projects.
• Organize and archive footage, project files, and final deliverables while keeping daily project logs current and accurate.
• Review cuts with the Director of Post-Production, interpret notes clearly, and implement feedback efficiently across revision rounds.

What You Bring

• A minimum of two years of professional video editing experience, including assembly and editorial work on real productions.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere Pro and Photoshop, with working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics work.
• Solid understanding of digital media formats, codecs, image types, frame rates, and resolution requirements across delivery platforms.
• Experience with audio mixing and color correction within a post-production workflow.
• The ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and clear communication with supervisors.
