Ed Cudlipp Media is hiring a London-based Creative CoFounder: Food Video Editor and Shooter to help build a food media brand from the ground up. This is a hybrid shooter and editor role sitting across both production and post-production workflow, responsible for shooting on-location food content in London and cutting everything from long-form documentary-style pieces to short-form social video. It suits a self-directed filmmaker who is comfortable owning a channel editorially, not just technically.

About the Role

You will be the primary creative and technical engine of a new food media brand, which means your fingerprints are on the format development as much as the grade or the cut. A typical day might move between a location shoot at a restaurant or market in London and an editing session shaping episode structure or crafting a short-form version of the same material. This is not a support role inside an established production company, it is a co-founding position with genuine creative ownership from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot all on-location food content across London and occasional travel destinations, handling camera, lighting setups, and audio capture as a solo or small-crew operator.
• Edit all long-form and short-form output, managing the full post-production workflow from assembly cut through to final export and platform delivery.
• Co-develop original formats with the founder, contributing to story structure, series concept, and the overall editorial direction of the channel.
• Build and maintain a consistent visual language across food video content, making decisions on grade, pacing, and graphic treatment that define the brand aesthetic.
• Shape the short-form content strategy, adapting long-form material into platform-native cuts suited to the rhythms of social video production.
• Contribute to production planning on each shoot, including location scouting, kit selection, and scheduling to keep a lean operation running efficiently.

What You Bring

• A demonstrable track record shooting and editing food, hospitality, or factual content, with a reel that shows both camera work and editorial craft.
• Proficiency in a professional non-linear editing system, with experience delivering across both long-form and social formats.
• Comfort operating as a one-person production unit on location, including handling your own lighting and sound.
• Experience developing or contributing to original format ideas rather than simply executing briefs handed down from a producer.
