Day to day, this person is in the business of shaping how Apple’s streaming television service is positioned, programmed, and communicated to Japanese audiences. That means close coordination with production partners, platform teams, and regional marketing groups to move projects from greenlight through to audience delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of Apple TV+ marketing and content strategy across Japan, aligning local campaigns with the global streaming television slate.
• Manage relationships with Japanese production companies, talent representatives, and studio partners across episodic television and film co-productions.
• Oversee localisation pipelines including subtitling, dubbing, and cultural adaptation for Apple TV+ originals entering the Japanese market.
• Represent Apple in negotiations and conversations with broadcasters, distributors, and streaming platform partners operating within Japan.
• Track audience data, viewership trends, and competitor streaming television activity to inform acquisition and commissioning recommendations.
• Brief and manage local creative agencies on campaign materials, working within Apple’s global brand standards for episodic content promotion.

What You Bring

• Eight or more years of experience in streaming television, broadcast, or film distribution, with meaningful time spent in the Japanese market.
• A track record of managing content strategy or marketing across a streaming platform or major studio label.
• Fluency in Japanese and English, with the ability to negotiate and present in both languages at an executive level.
• Experience working across post-production workflows, including localisation and delivery specifications for streaming platforms.
• Existing relationships within the Japanese film and television production community.
