Legendary Entertainment is hiring an Intern, Corporate Accounting for Spring 2027, based out of their Burbank offices. This role sits within the corporate finance function, supporting the accounting team that tracks and reconciles the financial activity behind Legendary’s feature film and television production slate. It’s a good fit for an accounting or finance student who wants to see how studio-level financials actually work, not just in theory but tied to real productions moving through development and production.

About the Role

The Corporate Accounting intern works alongside the finance team responsible for maintaining the general ledger, processing transactions, and supporting period-close activity for a studio whose film and television projects span major tentpole features and streaming content. Day-to-day work involves hands-on exposure to how a production company manages its books at the corporate level, separate from but connected to individual production accounting. This is not a shadowing role, interns are expected to contribute to real accounting workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close procedures, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations across corporate entities.
  • Support accounts payable processing by reviewing invoices, coding expenses, and ensuring proper documentation for studio overhead and production-related costs.
  • Help maintain the general ledger by entering and verifying financial data in the accounting system.
  • Assist in preparing supporting schedules and reports used by senior accountants during quarterly reviews.
  • Pull and organize financial data to support audits and internal reporting requirements tied to Legendary’s corporate operations.
  • Perform variance analysis on corporate expenses, flagging discrepancies for review by the accounting team.

What You Bring

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Coursework in financial accounting, general ledger principles, or managerial accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, pivot tables, and data organization.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is a plus, entertainment industry exposure is not required but valued.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadline pressure during close periods.

Why This Role

Legendary Entertainment is behind some of the most commercially significant feature film productions of the past two decades, including the MonsterVerse franchise and major studio co-productions, which means the accounting team here works at genuine scale. Interns get direct exposure to corporate accounting practices within a working entertainment studio, not a consulting firm or generic corporation. For anyone looking to build a career in entertainment finance or studio accounting, this is a practical starting point with a recognized name.

Apply now for the Intern, Corporate Accounting position at Legendary Entertainment and put your accounting coursework to work inside a real studio finance operation.
