Content Producer / Videographer

About the Role

Working directly within Contour Education’s content department, this Content Producer / Videographer handles the full production cycle for video projects that serve students, tutors, and the broader education audience the company is building toward. A typical day might move between pre-production planning, on-location or studio shooting, and post-production workflow, including edit, colour, and delivery for digital channels. The work is varied and output-driven, with projects spanning short-form social content, long-form educational video, and brand storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate camera across a range of shooting environments, from controlled studio setups to run-and-gun single-operator productions on location around Melbourne.
• Manage the complete post-production workflow from ingesting and organising footage through to picture lock, colour grade, and audio mix for final delivery.
• Develop creative treatments and shot lists during pre-production to align video output with campaign and content strategy briefs.
• Edit short-form and long-form video content to platform specifications, adapting cuts for social media, web, and internal distribution channels.
• Source and manage production assets including music licensing, motion graphics, and archival footage where required.
• Maintain production schedules and manage your own project timelines across multiple concurrent content pieces without a dedicated production coordinator.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience as a self-shooting producer or videographer across branded content, digital media, or educational video production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and the broader Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects for basic motion work.
• A solid reel showing end-to-end ownership of video projects, from shoot through to delivered master.
• Working knowledge of camera operation, lighting for interview and documentary formats, and location audio recording.
• Strong instincts around pacing, storytelling structure, and editing for audience retention across digital platforms.
