PerfectTed is hiring a Film-maker, Videographer & Editor based in London, England, UK. This role sits at the centre of an in-house content studio, responsible for end-to-end video production across short-form social content, founder-led documentary-style footage, and long-form YouTube series development. It suits a filmmaker who is equally comfortable operating a camera in a chaotic retail launch and cutting a polished episodic edit back at the desk.

About the Role

The Film-maker, Videographer & Editor joins a newly built in-house creative hub reporting into the Head of Marketing, working closely with founders, a social lead, and a design team to produce content across brand and personal brand channels. Day-to-day production workflow moves between run-and-gun documentary shooting on location, structured episodic content production for YouTube, and rapid turnaround edits for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn. The role also opens to a two-person creative duo where filmmaking and post-production responsibilities are split between partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Film founders and the wider team across retail launches, travel, events, and office environments, operating as a one-person production unit capable of capturing usable footage in unpredictable conditions.
• Edit short-form content natively optimised for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, applying genuine editorial judgement rather than template-driven assembly.
• Own the full YouTube production pipeline from concept development through shoot, post-production, and publishing, including original episodic series.
• Travel with founders to capture key business moments, functioning as an embedded documentary crew during commercial milestones and brand partnerships.
• Build and maintain an organised footage archive and file management system so material can be located and repurposed efficiently across campaigns.
• Develop new format ideas and series concepts in collaboration with the marketing and social teams, bringing a filmmaker’s perspective to content strategy.

What You Bring

• A portfolio demonstrating high-quality filmmaking, videography, and editing across both short-form social content and long-form video production.
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software with a demonstrably fast, clean post-production workflow.
• Experience shooting in uncontrolled, documentary-style environments where lighting, sound, and subject access cannot be guaranteed in advance.
• Strong storytelling instincts applied to non-scripted content, particularly founder-led or brand narrative formats.
• Full right to work in the UK, with genuine availability for evening, weekend, and travel commitments around key production moments.
