Job Type
Disney is hiring an Executive Assistant, Production (20th Television) based in Burbank, CA, supporting two VPs of Production at one of the most active television studios in the business. This role sits at the center of 20th Television’s production operations, keeping projects moving across episodic series destined for Hulu, Disney+, and FX through scheduling, documentation, and direct liaison work with show production offices. It suits an organized, production-savvy assistant who knows how a studio operates and is ready to work at the volume that comes with a major network television slate.
About the Role
20th Television is the scripted label behind a significant portion of Disney Entertainment Television’s episodic output, and this assistant role sits inside that production infrastructure. Day to day, you are the connective tissue between the studio executives and the show production offices in active series, managing the information flow that keeps both sides aligned. Expect to spend your time building and maintaining hiring charts, production calendars, and studio grids alongside the standard executive support workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and screen calls, manage executive contacts, and schedule meetings across multiple stages of episodic television production.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between the studio and active show production offices, tracking correspondence and follow-up items.
- Produce and update hiring charts, production calendars, and departmental studio grids to reflect current production status.
- Organize table reads, show and tells, and large studio meetings, including logistics and materials prep.
- Manage executive travel arrangements and process expense reports through Concur.
- Maintain and update departmental websites and internal tracking tools using Airtable, PIX, and the broader Google and Microsoft suites.
What You Bring
- Minimum one year of assistant experience with working knowledge of production operations in episodic television or a related context.
- Proficiency in MacOS, Airtable, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Zoom, PIX, Aspera, and the Adobe suite.
- Knowledge of Movie Magic Scheduling and Budgeting is preferred, along with familiarity with Concur.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once with consistent follow-through and strong attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in film, television, or a related field, or equivalent production work experience.
Why This Role
20th Television is one of the most prolific studios in scripted episodic television, with series across multiple major streaming and broadcast platforms, which means the exposure here is real and the production volume keeps the work substantive. The Executive Assistant, Production (20th Television) position comes with a hiring range of $54,000 to $72,400 per year based on a 40-hour work week, plus potential bonus and long-term incentive units, and a full benefits package including medical and financial options.
