A typical week moves between fieldwork covering ceremonies, ribbon cuttings, and emergency response documentation, and studio-side work building motion graphics, animated lower thirds, and edited packages ready for distribution. The schedule shifts week to week based on event coverage needs, including regular evening and weekend assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoots and edits short- and long-format video productions for social media platforms, broadcast, public service announcements, and city-facing digital channels.
• Captures primary photography at press events, public meetings, community programs, and official ceremonies, serving as the sole photographer on most assignments.
• Builds motion graphics packages including animated text, lower thirds, title cards, and transitions using Adobe Creative Cloud or comparable professional post-production software.
• Operates and maintains a full field production kit including cameras, audio equipment, lighting, stabilizers, tripods, and drones where applicable.
• Manages a digital asset management system, organizing and archiving photo and video files to keep the library accessible across departments.
• Supports livestreams, recorded public meetings, and broadcast press events, providing both technical operation and creative direction as needed.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in field production and post-production workflows, with a portfolio that spans event coverage, interview setups, and edited video packages.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop, used in a professional production context.
• Demonstrated ability to shoot and deliver content optimized across multiple digital channels, from social media to broadcast-ready formats.
• Comfort directing subjects on camera during interviews, PSAs, and promotional video shoots.
• Experience maintaining brand and accessibility standards across all visual output.
