About the Role

The Directeur.trice des finances owns the full financial operation at Mikros Animation, from project profitability analysis and bid review through to monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management. Day to day, this person works directly with the studio President, the CFO, and production and commercial teams to give leadership a clear read on margins, project commitments, and financial risk across the animation studio’s slate. Shared resources from the Rodeo FX Group support certain systems and processes, but the mandate here is to build financial visibility and lead the studio’s own finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary financial partner to the studio President and Group CFO, identifying risks and opportunities tied to specific productions and business decisions.
• Review client bid submissions alongside commercial and production teams to validate budget assumptions, margin targets, and project-level financial risk.
• Drive continuous forecasting and cash flow planning to anticipate liquidity needs across the animation studio’s active project portfolio.
• Oversee all accounting operations at Mikros Animation, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting in line with applicable tax, legal, and regulatory obligations.
• Present monthly financial results to leadership, with clear analysis of variances, cost trends, and performance indicators tied to production delivery.
• Lead process improvement across finance functions, strengthening internal controls, governance practices, and reporting tools that support a growing production slate.

What You Bring

• CPA designation or equivalent, with significant experience in a senior finance leadership role.
• Direct experience in film, television, animation, or VFX production finance, with a solid understanding of project-based cost structures.
• Demonstrated ability to build and present financial models, scenario analyses, and profitability reviews to senior studio leadership.
• Fluency in French and English, given the studio’s bilingual working environment and international co-production activity.
• Experience working across multi-entity or group structures, including shared services, is a practical advantage in this role.
