Job Position(s): Video Producer/Cinematographer/Editor
Project Type: Documentary
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Lockheed Martin is hiring a Video Producer/Cinematographer/Editor to join its visual media team supporting the Aeronautics division. This role sits inside an in-house content studio producing cinematic, documentary-style, and brand storytelling video across marketing, executive communications, and social platforms. It’s a strong fit for a senior-level shooter-editor who moves fluidly between field production and post-production workflow without missing a beat on either end.

About the Role

You’ll work within a dedicated visual storytelling department alongside producers, directors, motion designers, and photographers, taking projects from concept through final delivery. The output spans promotional content, internal campaigns, and brand storytelling for one of the largest aerospace organizations in the country, with production values expected to match what audiences see in today’s professional media environment. A typical week might include an interview shoot, a b-roll day in the field, and a full edit session shaping narrative arc through pacing, sound design, and music selection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit high-impact video content for brand storytelling, executive communications, and social media, building emotional arc through pacing, tone, and visual structure.
  • Operate cinema and broadcast cameras in both field and studio environments, capturing interviews, b-roll, and documentary-style footage independently or as part of a larger crew.
  • Lead creative conversations early in the production process, influencing visual direction and helping stakeholders define the most effective storytelling approach.
  • Translate technically complex aerospace subject matter into video content that is clear, engaging, and emotionally resonant for both internal and external audiences.
  • Manage post-production workflow across multiple concurrent projects, maintaining editorial standards from assembly cut through final delivery and platform optimization.
  • Mentor fellow creatives on the team, providing constructive editorial feedback and helping raise the overall creative standard of the department’s output.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital video production, with a reel demonstrating range across documentary, brand, and promotional formats.
  • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard editing software and post-production workflow, including motion graphics and content optimized for digital and social platforms.
  • Demonstrated camera operation skills across a variety of standard and specialty digital video cameras in field and studio conditions.
  • Experience working alongside multidisciplinary creative teams including animators, photographers, graphic designers, and freelance artists.
  • Proven ability to act as a strategic creative partner with non-production stakeholders, shaping communication objectives and recommending creative approach.

Why This Role

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics runs a genuinely high-output internal studio with the resources and subject matter to support work that would not exist in a traditional agency or production company setting. The stories here carry real weight, and the visual media team operates with a level of craft and creative autonomy that is uncommon for an in-house department of this scale. For a Video Producer/Cinematographer/Editor looking to work on material that is both strategically significant and visually demanding, this is a rare staff position worth a close look.

Apply today for the Video Producer/Cinematographer/Editor role at Lockheed Martin and bring your editorial instincts to one of the most distinctive in-house studios in the aerospace industry.
