Job Position(s): Production Assistant
Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Jobgether is hiring a Production Assistant based in the United States to support the creation of educational assessment materials across both print and digital publishing pipelines. This role sits within a graphic design and desktop publishing workflow, where the primary output is visual content for standardized testing programs, including line art illustrations, formatted test documents, and production-ready files for online and paper-based distribution. It suits an early-career designer with a solid foundation in Adobe Creative Suite who is comfortable working inside structured production workflows with clear deliverable standards.

About the Role

The Production Assistant works within a remote production team focused on educational publishing, contributing to projects that require both illustration and desktop publishing skills across print and digital formats. A typical day involves building or refining graphics in Adobe Illustrator, formatting test documents in Adobe InDesign, and running quality checks on files before they move through the production pipeline. The work is detail-driven and deadline-oriented, with output that directly affects the accessibility and accuracy of assessment materials used at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and modify line art illustrations and technical graphics for paper-based and digital assessment programs using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Format and lay out printed test documents and supplementary materials in Adobe InDesign, maintaining consistency across production templates.
  • Prepare and optimize files for both print distribution and online publishing, following established technical specifications for each platform.
  • Review production files for formatting errors, visual inconsistencies, and specification compliance before final delivery.
  • Support proposal preparation by developing graphics and formatting documents to professional presentation standards.
  • Manage multiple assignments within a remote desktop publishing workflow, coordinating revisions with production team members to meet project deadlines.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Up to two years of professional experience with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign in a production or publishing context.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with scientific, technical, or mathematical illustration is an advantage in this print and digital production environment.
  • Comfort working across both PC and Mac platforms and adapting quickly to new tools and production procedures.

Why This Role

This Production Assistant position is fully remote, open to candidates anywhere in the United States, and offers structured exposure to both print production workflow and digital publishing pipelines early in a design career.
