Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

CF Montréal is hiring a Vidéaste / Videographer to join their content team in Montreal, Quebec. This role sits within the club’s media and communications department, responsible for end-to-end video production including field capture, editorial, motion graphics, and social media content delivery across multiple platforms. It’s a strong fit for a videographer with a sports or live event production background who is equally comfortable behind a camera on a training pitch as they are in an editing suite finishing a partner-sponsored series.

About the Role

The Vidéaste / Videographer works across both the First Team and Academy, covering home and away matches, media availabilities, press conferences, and feature content year-round. The production workflow spans acquisition through delivery, including Adobe After Effects animation, sound editing, and asset sharing with media partners. Schedules follow the MLS season calendar, which means evenings, weekends, and travel are a regular part of the job, not the exception.

Key Responsibilities

  • Film media availabilities, press conferences, and training sessions for both the First Team and CF Montréal Academy, on location in Montreal and on the road.
  • Capture match footage at home and away fixtures, managing all camera operation within a live sports production environment.
  • Conduct and shoot player interviews, handling both the cinematography and the editorial shaping of interview-driven content.
  • Complete all post-production work including video editing, motion graphics in Adobe After Effects, and sound mixing for broadcast and digital distribution.
  • Develop and produce original video series, including branded content presented by club partners, from concept through final delivery.
  • Create platform-specific content optimized for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X, maintaining consistent output across the social media content pipeline.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a videographer in sports media, live event production, or a comparable content-driven production environment.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and animation, alongside a strong editorial skillset in a professional video editing platform.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates both field production credits and finished social media content across multiple formats and aspect ratios.
  • Comfort operating as a one-person-band across acquisition, editing, and delivery without losing quality at any stage of the workflow.
  • Bilingual capacity in French and English is an asset given CF Montréal’s bilingual media environment.

Why This Role

CF Montréal is one of Canada’s longest-running professional soccer clubs and a founding-era presence in MLS, which means the content produced here reaches a national and North American audience with genuine scale. The Vidéaste / Videographer position offers consistent access to professional athletes, live match production, and long-form series development, a combination that is difficult to find outside a major league club. The role also carries real creative responsibility, with the expectation that this person will contribute ideas and push the content forward, not just execute briefs.
