About the Role

The Social Media & Videographer role operates as a one-person content unit embedded within Rentlife’s marketing and property operations, producing location-based video across Birmingham’s rental property portfolio. A typical day involves on-site filming at residential properties, editing footage into platform-ready cuts, and developing content concepts that reflect both the brand and current platform trends. This is not a support role, the person hired will own the creative output end to end.

Key Responsibilities

• Film property walkthroughs and location content across Birmingham, managing camera setup, natural lighting reads, and shot composition on-site without a crew.
• Edit short-form video content optimised for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts using CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or comparable editing software.
• Develop content calendars and propose creative concepts that align with platform algorithm behaviour and current short-form video trends.
• Produce behind-the-scenes brand content capturing business milestones, landlord case studies, and company culture for use across social channels.
• Monitor performance metrics across published content and apply those insights to pacing, format, and editorial decisions on future shoots.
• Build out a library of reusable content assets that support Rentlife’s landlord marketing and tenant acquisition strategy.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable editing skills in CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or a comparable non-linear editing environment.
• A working understanding of TikTok and Instagram Reels trends, including transition styles, pacing, audio sync, and caption formatting.
• Experience filming in real-world locations without a dedicated crew, with confidence managing angles and available light independently.
• Access to a camera or high-quality smartphone capable of producing broadcast-adjacent short-form content.
• A portfolio or reel demonstrating published short-form video work, property or brand content is a plus but not required.
