About the Role

The Video Editor & Producer works inside a creative content department that services marketing, communications, and club-wide campaigns throughout the season. A typical day moves between editing suite work, cross-department briefings, and occasional on-site filming at the Stadium of Light or training ground.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full video production workflow from initial concept and scripting through to final delivery, ensuring every edit meets brand guidelines and platform specs.
• Edit and produce fan-facing video content across social media, broadcast, and web channels, adapting cuts and formats for each platform’s requirements.
• Write and develop scripts and creative treatments that translate club narratives into compelling visual stories.
• Operate camera equipment and manage on-location filming during live matchday events, press conferences, and club activations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously within a structured post-production workflow, hitting broadcast-quality delivery deadlines across a busy football calendar.
• Work closely with marketing and communications colleagues to ensure video output aligns with campaign objectives and editorial tone.

What You Bring

• Proven experience as a video editor and producer in a sports media, broadcast, or digital content production environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and the wider Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects for motion graphics work.
• A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of short-form and long-form video projects, ideally including social video production or branded content.
• Practical camera operating experience, with confidence filming in live event conditions.
• Solid understanding of colour grading, audio mixing, and delivery standards for digital and broadcast distribution.
