About the Role

The Marketing, Creative, and Content team handles how the club presents itself to supporters locally and globally, which means the output here spans short-form social content, long-form brand pieces, and live event coverage across multiple platforms. As Video Editor & Producer, you will manage projects from concept and script through to picture lock and delivery, working alongside marketing and communications colleagues on each brief. On any given week that could mean cutting a player feature, producing a campaign asset, or turning around same-day matchday content.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full video production process from pre-production planning and scripting through to final delivery across all required platforms and formats.
• Edit footage using professional non-linear editing software, maintaining a consistent visual style that reflects the club’s brand across every output.
• Incorporate motion graphics, animation, and sound design into finished pieces to meet the standard expected of contemporary sports content production.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously within a structured post-production workflow, hitting broadcast and digital deadlines without compromising quality.
• Attend live shoots for matchdays, events, and campaign productions, including evenings and weekends as the schedule requires.
• Collaborate with the creative team at brief stage to develop visual storytelling concepts that serve specific campaign and communications objectives.

What You Bring

• A portfolio demonstrating proven credits across video editing and production in a professional environment, whether agency, broadcast, or in-house.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve is required for this role.
• Hands-on experience with motion graphics and animation production, with sound design capability considered a strong advantage.
• The ability to manage a multi-project workload under real deadline pressure without losing attention to editorial detail.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check through Sunderland AFC as a condition of employment.
