MYPATH is hiring a Video Editor (Final Cut Pro) on a part-time contract basis in the Leicester area, specifically working out of their Lubenham facility near Market Harborough. This is a post-production role focused on editing, formatting, and delivering finished video content to an education-facing digital platform, working within a high-volume content pipeline rather than a traditional broadcast or narrative production context. About the Role

This position sits within MYPATH’s content production operation, which supplies video resources directly to schools across the UK. The post-production workflow here is output-heavy, meaning the job is less about creative assembly cuts and more about applying a consistent editorial standard across a substantial library of existing footage. A typical day involves ingesting pre-recorded material, editing to spec, exporting to required delivery formats, and uploading finished files to the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit pre-recorded footage in Final Cut Pro to produce polished, delivery-ready video content meeting MYPATH’s platform specifications.
• Manage ingest and organisation of large volumes of raw footage within the post-production workflow.
• Export finished edits in the correct format and resolution for upload to the digital distribution platform.
• Upload completed video assets directly to the platform, ensuring file naming and metadata conventions are followed accurately.
• Maintain consistent pacing, titling, and editorial style across a high volume of individual content pieces.
• Flag any footage issues, sync problems, or quality concerns to the production lead before final delivery.

What You Bring

• Proven experience working as a video editor in a content production, post-production, or digital media environment.
• Confident, working knowledge of Final Cut Pro as your primary editing tool.
• Experience handling high-volume editorial output, such as factual, educational, or corporate video production.
• Ability to work on-site three days per week, totalling 21 hours, without remote flexibility for this position.
• Organised approach to file management and digital asset handling across a multi-title content pipeline.
