About the Role

The video editor works directly alongside an Educational Content Producer, Motion Designers, and Product Marketing to move raw footage, screen recordings, and product demonstrations through the post-production workflow to finished, channel-ready assets. Creative Fabrica produces a significant volume of content each week, spanning long-form YouTube tutorials and short-form social clips, so the role demands fluency in both formats and the structural thinking to repurpose source material efficiently. A typical day involves editing multiple pieces simultaneously, adapting aspect ratios and pacing for different platforms, and building or refining templates that keep the production process scalable.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit across the full content slate, from long-form educational YouTube videos and product demos to short-form social content for TikTok and Instagram, maintaining consistent editorial standards across every format.
• Transform raw footage, screen recordings, voiceovers, and product demonstrations into polished finished content, making independent decisions on structure, pacing, and storytelling.
• Create strong openings and use cuts, sound design, music, captions, and graphics to hold viewer attention and improve watch time and retention metrics.
• Build and maintain a scalable post-production workflow using templates, presets, and repeatable processes that increase weekly output without compromising quality.
• Produce multiple versions of content to test different hooks, lengths, and editing approaches, using platform analytics to identify where viewer drop-off occurs.
• Actively explore and integrate AI-powered editing and generative AI tools into the production process to improve turnaround speed and expand creative output.

What You Bring

• Proven experience as a video editor working across digital content production, with a reel that demonstrates both long-form and short-form editorial work.
• Strong command of industry-standard editing software, with working knowledge of AI-powered production and generative AI tools used in modern post-production workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to repurpose long-form content into platform-specific short-form clips across multiple aspect ratios and channel formats.
• Comfort working at high volume, shipping multiple pieces of finished content per week while maintaining clear visual and editorial standards.
• Experience collaborating with motion designers and incorporating motion graphics assets into an edit without disrupting production timelines.
