Job Position(s): Motion Designer & Video Editor
Project Type: Commercial
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: $64,000 - $95,000/year

Conagra is hiring a Motion Designer and Video Editor based in Chicago, Illinois, sitting within their in-house creative team. This role lives in post-production and brand content, responsible for delivering motion graphics, edited video, and animated assets across digital marketing, social media, retail, and internal communications channels. It suits a mid-level motion professional who is equally comfortable in After Effects building title sequences as they are cutting long-form video in Premiere Pro.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager of Design Services, who holds an Associate Creative Director title, you will work inside Conagra’s internal creative studio alongside designers, copywriters, and marketing teams across the full content production workflow. Day to day, that means animating branded graphics and motion effects, editing short and long-form video, managing post-production deliverables across multiple aspect ratios and platforms, and occasionally stepping on set to support food shoots, photography sessions, and live streaming productions. This is a hybrid position with three days per week in the Chicago office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and animate motion graphics for digital marketing campaigns, social media platforms, e-commerce, retail, and internal communications, maintaining brand consistency across every output.
  • Execute full post-production workflow including video editing, color correction, audio cleanup, sound design, and final asset delivery to platform specifications.
  • Transform static design assets into motion experiences, developing transitions, title sequences, and branded graphic systems that hold up across distribution channels.
  • Optimize deliverables for multiple platforms, managing codec, frame rate, color space, and resolution requirements for each distribution context.
  • Support on-set productions including food shoots and live streaming events, assisting with camera operation, lighting setup, and audio capture.
  • Maintain organized project files and post-production workflows across simultaneous projects while hitting deadlines without dropping creative standards.

What You Bring

  • Two or more years of professional experience in motion design and video editing within an agency, production studio, or in-house creative environment.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, with advanced working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator across the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
  • A portfolio and show reel demonstrating motion graphics, animation, and visual storytelling across multiple platforms and content types.
  • Solid understanding of animation principles, typography, pacing, timing, and color theory as applied to branded content and digital marketing production.
  • Experience with consumer-facing brands, food brands, or consumer packaged goods is preferred, as is experience supporting live streaming or broadcast environments.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required; experience with 3D motion design software is a plus.

Why This Role

Conagra operates one of the larger in-house creative studios in the consumer packaged goods space, which means consistent work across a wide brand portfolio rather than the project-to-project instability common at smaller production studios. The Motion Designer and Video Editor role offers real breadth, spanning social content, retail, and on-set production support, which keeps the work varied and builds a well-rounded post-production skill set. The compensation range for this position is $64,000 to $95,000 annually, based on experience.

Apply now for the Motion Designer and Video Editor position at Conagra and bring your post-production workflow into one of Chicago’s most active in-house creative teams.
