Day-to-day work involves tracking shot counts, managing crew scheduling, conducting project reviews, and maintaining clear client communication from estimate through final delivery. You will be the primary point of contact for clients on both residential-scale and larger commercial VFX projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple VFX projects simultaneously, tracking progress against schedule, scope, and budget using project management software.
• Serve as the client-facing lead throughout the production lifecycle, providing clear status updates and resolving issues before they affect delivery.
• Recruit and coordinate VFX crews, assigning work based on capacity and ensuring quality standards are met at each production phase.
• Assess incoming project briefs, define scope of work, and build project plans that reflect realistic timelines for VFX pipeline completion.
• Produce regular reporting on project status, flagging risks early and adjusting resources to keep deliverables on track.
• Operate independently within a remote post-production workflow, managing your own schedule and remaining available when project timelines demand it.

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience in VFX production or a closely related discipline, with a working understanding of how shots move through a visual effects pipeline.
• Proven project management credits across both small-scale and large-scale productions.
• Proficiency with project management platforms, scheduling tools, and mobile production apps used in modern post-production workflow.
• Strong communication skills with a track record of managing client relationships professionally and independently.
• Based in or able to work from the Calgary, Alberta area, with a reliable personal vehicle and cellphone.
