Merchandise Production Consultant

A24 is hiring a Merchandise Production Consultant to support consumer products work across various locations on a part-time independent contractor basis. This role sits within the brand and consumer products pipeline, managing the full merchandise lifecycle from initial development through manufacturing, sampling, and final delivery for an adult animated television series. About the Role

This is a 1099 contract engagement running six months at approximately 20 hours per week, with potential to extend as the series and its merchandise program grows. Day-to-day work spans production tracking, cost management, logistics coordination, and light product ideation, all operating within A24’s consumer products and brand operations structure. The role functions independently, meaning you’re expected to bring your own systems, vendor network, and judgment to the work rather than plug into a heavily managed workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Track all merchandise across development, sampling, production, and transit stages, identifying and resolving production bottlenecks before they affect delivery timelines.
• Maintain pricing models and monitor production and freight costs, making budget management decisions with minimal oversight.
• Coordinate sample reviews and approvals with internal stakeholders, escalating issues based on your own professional read of the situation.
• Build out product pages, SKUs, and barcodes within e-commerce and CMS platforms, and process POs and invoices across materials, samples, and finished goods.
• Manage inbound and outbound shipments in coordination with the Brand Operations team, keeping logistics moving across the episodic television merchandise calendar.
• Contribute product ideation and conduct market research to inform development decisions, and source new vendors by drawing on an existing supplier network.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end merchandise production across multiple product categories, including apparel, accessories, or collectibles.
• An established vendor and supplier network with a track record of independently sourcing new manufacturing partners.
• Proficiency in project management software and e-commerce or CMS platforms used in consumer products production workflows.
• Proven ability to manage an animated series merchandise program or comparable consumer products slate without day-to-day supervision.
• Photoshop proficiency is a plus for this Merchandise Production Consultant role.
