Paramount is hiring a Sr Manager, Live Event Streaming Operations to be based out of Stamford, CT. This role sits inside the Paramount+ streaming operations department, owning end-to-end live event delivery for Tier 1 broadcasts including UFC, Zuffa Boxing, and Professional Bull Riding across global OTT distribution. It suits a senior broadcast or streaming technologist who has spent years in the control room and knows how to keep a live feed alive when things go sideways.

About the Role

The Sr Manager, Live Event Streaming Operations works within Paramount+’s live event delivery infrastructure, responsible for every link in the live streaming workflow from cloud acquisition through CDN delivery to the viewer. On any given event day, this person is the primary operational contact, running pre-event briefings, monitoring QoS and QoE metrics in real time, and coordinating incident response across engineering, vendors, and network partners. The role carries an on-call rotation tied directly to the live sports and entertainment broadcast calendar.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operational execution for all Paramount+ Tier 1 live events, including UFC broadcasts, boxing, PBR, and additional sports and entertainment properties.
• Build and maintain acquisition plans, encoding and packaging workflows, ad delivery plans, and highlight clipping support for each event.
• Serve as the single point of contact during live broadcasts, escalating incidents and driving resolution across internal engineering teams and third-party streaming vendors.
• Write and maintain detailed runbooks, incident reports, and post-event recaps that feed back into continuous workflow improvement.
• Support testing and validation of new OTT delivery technologies, including DRM systems, SSAI ad insertion tools, and live event redundancy strategies.
• Deliver executive briefings before and during major events, translating technical status into clear operational language for non-technical stakeholders.

What You Bring

• 7 or more years of experience in live streaming operations, broadcast operations, or OTT delivery environments.
• Hands-on fluency with live streaming protocols including HLS, DASH, MPEG-TS, RTMP, and SRT.
• Working knowledge of cloud-based streaming architectures on AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus direct experience operating encoders, packagers, and origin services.
• Experience with CDN platforms, traffic routing strategies, and QoS/QoE monitoring tools used in episodic or live broadcast delivery.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot under pressure during live broadcast workflows without losing communication clarity across technical and non-technical teams.
