About the Role

You will work across the social and marketing pipeline at Jobtailor, cutting content that performs rather than just plays. A typical day involves ingesting raw footage, building out edits with subtitles and transitions, and delivering finals that meet each platform’s technical specifications. The role requires close coordination with Creative and Social Media teams to align each cut with campaign intent.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut short-form edits for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts with a clear understanding of hook structure and audience retention in the first three seconds.
• Apply motion graphics, lower thirds, and transitions that serve the story rather than decorate it.
• Burn in subtitles and captions to spec, ensuring accessibility compliance and platform formatting requirements are met on every deliverable.
• Translate raw footage into polished post-production outputs across multiple concurrent projects under tight turnaround schedules.
• Monitor short-form content trends and apply relevant techniques to keep the output current without chasing formats that don’t fit the brief.
• QC all exports against platform specs before delivery, catching technical issues before they reach the social media team.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience editing short-form video content with a portfolio showing strong pacing and storytelling instincts.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with working knowledge of motion graphics compositing.
• Hands-on experience with VFX integration at the social content level, including text animation and visual treatments.
• Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously and hit deadlines without a drop in output quality.
• Familiarity with export and encoding standards across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts platforms.
