Amazon MGM Studios is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for the CreativeFlux platform, based in New York, NY. This role sits inside the AI Studios engineering org, where you will own the training and inference infrastructure that delivers generative AI models directly into the hands of animators, VFX artists, and filmmakers working on Prime Video productions. About the Role

You will be embedded in the team building Nara, Amazon MGM Studios’ AI-native content creation platform serving professional animation and live action VFX pipelines. Day to day, that means taking model architectures from Applied Scientists and turning them into production-grade inference endpoints that artists can rely on mid-shoot or mid-render, often under tight deadlines. You will work across EKS infrastructure, SageMaker training pipelines, and integrations with DCC tools including Maya, After Effects, Adobe Animate, and Storyboard Pro.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate ML training and inference workloads on EKS, including GPU node groups, custom schedulers, autoscaling, and gang scheduling for multi-GPU jobs.
• Integrate generative models covering image, video, and audio into production inference pipelines, taking new architectures from research notebooks to scaled VFX pipeline deployment.
• Build and maintain distributed training and fine-tuning pipelines on EKS and SageMaker, including data preparation, evaluation harnesses, and checkpointing strategies.
• Improve GPU utilization, throughput, and latency across the inference fleet using batching, quantization, model compilation, and Kubernetes-native scaling primitives including HPA, KEDA, and custom controllers.
• Build automated evaluation pipelines with quality metrics and human-in-the-loop review to catch model regressions before they surface in artist workflows on animation studio productions.
• Own operational health of model endpoints, including monitoring, on-call response, capacity planning, and post-incident analysis for live production environments.

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience deploying and operating ML inference infrastructure on Kubernetes, specifically EKS, at production scale.
• Working knowledge of distributed training frameworks and GPU optimization techniques including quantization and model compilation.
• Familiarity with generative model types, image, video, or audio, in the context of a post-production workflow or real-time creative tooling.
• Experience integrating ML model outputs into DCC tools used in professional animation or live action VFX production.
• Clean coding practices with a track record of design reviews and well-tested systems in a collaborative engineering environment.
