Key Responsibilities

• Create feature-quality keyframe animation for assigned shots, maintaining consistency with the established style and Director’s performance intent.
• Develop expressive facial animation that serves the storytelling, working across a spectrum from realistic to stylized approaches.
• Build solid body mechanics that hold up at full render quality and meet the technical standards of the animation pipeline.
• Attend daily animation reviews and rounds, applying directorial feedback accurately and within production turnaround times.
• Coordinate with Animation Leads to align on shot priorities, blocking passes, and final polish approvals within the production schedule.
• Contribute to shared animation resources including pose libraries and rig feedback that benefit the broader animation team on the show.

What You Bring

• Several years of keyframe animation experience within a feature animation studio or comparable high-volume production environment.
• Proficiency in Maya, with working knowledge of the animation tools and rigging conventions standard to feature film production pipelines.
• A reel that demonstrates range across action, character performance, and facial animation at a theatrical quality level.
• Ability to read and respond to directorial notes efficiently across multiple shots in an active production cycle.
• Experience working within structured dailies processes and meeting shot quotas tied to a production schedule.
