About the Role

The In-House Graphic Designer and Video Editor works directly with the marketing and content teams at Proximity South Africa, turning briefs into finished assets across multiple brand identities simultaneously. A typical day moves between designing social media content and promotional materials, cutting video for YouTube and campaign distribution, and building motion graphics that serve brand consistency. The role is part-time and office-based, with working hours aligned to UK operations, requiring flexibility across either morning or afternoon half-days depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce social media content, digital banners, presentations, and marketing collateral across multiple brand identities within a structured brand consistency framework.
• Edit short-form and long-form video content for YouTube distribution, social media platforms, and broader marketing campaign delivery.
• Build motion graphics sequences that support brand storytelling across digital channels.
• Manage concurrent creative projects across separate brand accounts, meeting deadlines without compromising output quality.
• Apply basic YouTube optimisation principles and social media SEO awareness to video and content deliverables.
• Work with AI creative tools such as Runway, Firefly, Midjourney, or ElevenLabs where applicable to support the broader content production workflow.

What You Bring

• A portfolio that demonstrates both graphic design and video editing output, not one or the other.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and either Adobe Illustrator or the Affinity suite, alongside a primary video editing tool such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
• Working knowledge of Canva, CapCut, and Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and social content production.
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Figma, or Adobe Audition is advantageous, as is experience with AI-assisted creative tools.
• The ability to manage multi-brand deliverables independently, with strong organisation across overlapping production timelines.
