Job Position(s): Production Finance Manager
Project Type: Feature Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Warner Bros. Discovery is hiring a Production Finance Manager at their Burbank feature production administration offices. This role sits at the center of motion picture finance, managing the full financial lifecycle of feature film productions from development through final cost and wrap. It suits a production accountant or finance professional who has worked inside studio or large independent feature film production and knows how to manage competing deadlines across multiple departments at once.

About the Role

The Production Finance Manager works within WBD’s feature production administration group, supporting freelance production accounting teams across active and development-stage motion picture productions. Day-to-day work spans cost report review, SAP invoice oversight, bank account management, and coordinating with internal centers of excellence including Tax, Treasury, and Payroll. This is a staff position embedded in the studio infrastructure, not a show hire, which means continuity across the full feature film production pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end production finance support across assigned feature film productions, from development budgets through final cost reports and wrap reconciliations.
  • Review weekly, monthly, and quarterly cost reports for accuracy, validating trial balances, ETCs, and variances against system-generated outputs.
  • Oversee SAP invoice processing, coding accuracy, and payment approvals, and reconcile SAP records each period for audit readiness.
  • Handle production bank account setup, maintenance, and closure in the US, including lockbox deposits, wire access, and funding confirmations.
  • Manage system access provisioning and deprovisioning for production accounting staff across platforms including Cashet, Smart Accounting, Smart PO, SmartTime, and SharePoint.
  • Coordinate pre-wrap and wrap meetings, oversee return of production funds, and ensure all final filings and reconciliations meet studio compliance standards.

What You Bring

  • Minimum three years of experience in production finance or production accounting, preferably on feature film productions.
  • Working knowledge of SAP for invoice processing, journal entries, and period reconciliations in a studio environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Cashet or Cashet Pay, and familiarity with production accounting systems such as Smart Accounting and Smart PO.
  • Understanding of SOX controls, studio financial policies, and audit requirements as they apply to motion picture production.
  • Ability to manage banking and treasury functions including reconciliations, signatory workflows, and cash flow reporting across concurrent productions.

Why This Role

Warner Bros. Discovery operates one of the most active feature film production pipelines in the industry, which means the Production Finance Manager role carries real scope and visibility across a slate that moves. This is a staff position inside the studio’s feature production administration group in Burbank, offering the kind of institutional knowledge and career continuity that freelance production accounting work rarely provides.

Apply now for the Production Finance Manager position at Warner Bros. Discovery and bring your production accounting background into a studio role with staying power.
