This role sits within the Disney+ EMEA team and owns the full communications, events and talent strategy across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, driving visibility for the streaming service through earned media, high-profile premieres, screenings and talent tours. It suits a senior communications leader who has run multi-market campaigns within entertainment or streaming and knows how to work across a matrixed organisation without losing momentum.
About the Role
The Director of Comms, Events and Talent Management reports into the VP of Marketing, DTC EMEA, and works alongside Marketing, Social and Influencer, Content and Corporate Communications teams across the region and the US. Day to day, this person is shaping how Disney+ connects with press, talent representatives, production partners and industry stakeholders across a wide content slate spanning film, series and live events. They also lead a team of 15 communications professionals covering both the streaming and linear channels business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver integrated communications strategies that support content launches and audience growth across the EMEA streaming television market.
- Plan and execute high-profile premieres, press screenings, talent tours and experiential activations across multiple markets simultaneously.
- Build and sustain relationships with media, talent agents, production partners and key industry stakeholders across the region.
- Provide strategic counsel on reputation management, issues preparedness and crisis communications to senior leadership.
- Partner with US and regional teams to ensure EMEA priorities are represented accurately within global campaign rollouts and episodic television launches.
- Use performance data and audience insights to measure campaign effectiveness and report business impact back to the VP and wider leadership team.
What You Bring
- Significant senior experience leading communications within entertainment, streaming, media or consumer brand environments.
- A proven track record delivering multi-market earned media campaigns tied to film or episodic television releases.
- Experience managing talent relations and working directly with talent representatives across entertainment press and events.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams of communications professionals, including agency partners.
- Strong commercial awareness and comfort using data to inform strategy and demonstrate return on investment.
Why This Role

This Director of Comms, Events and Talent Management position offers direct influence over how that content lands with press and audiences across EMEA, with real scope to shape strategy rather than execute someone else’s. Disney’s London operation carries genuine weight within the global business, and EMEA priorities are actively represented at a US level.
