This role sits within a growing in-house content department responsible for producing and editing video across social media platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X, with a focus on driving measurable engagement for one of the UK’s leading guitar retailers. It suits a self-sufficient shooter and editor who is comfortable owning the full production workflow from capture to delivery, and who understands how content performs across digital channels.

About the Role

The Videographer/Digital Content Creator works within the guitarguitar marketing department alongside an established team of in-house professionals, contributing to campaigns, brand partnerships, and artist content shoots. Day-to-day work covers on-site and location production at retail stores and events, with some shoots falling outside standard office hours. The role also carries a reporting function, with the expectation that content decisions are informed by social media analytics and competitive performance data.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit video content optimised for short-form and long-form digital distribution, applying platform-specific knowledge to each deliverable.
• Record, mix, and master audio including speech, instruments, and vocals to a broadcast-ready standard.
• Coordinate production logistics with guitarguitar store teams, brand representatives, and artists ahead of and during shoots.
• Analyse social media performance data to identify content trends, assess share of voice, and produce structured reports for the wider marketing team.
• Monitor competitor content activity and contribute to ongoing brand audits using data-led evaluation.
• Identify emerging platforms and content formats that represent genuine opportunities for brand growth.

What You Bring

• Proven ability to shoot and edit video efficiently across a range of production environments, from controlled studio setups to live location shoots.
• Solid understanding of audio production, including location sound recording and post-production mixing.
• Familiarity with social media content strategy and platform-specific video production requirements.
• Experience analysing digital content performance metrics and translating data into actionable recommendations.
• A background in music or active musicianship is a genuine advantage given the subject matter, though not required.
