Job Position(s): Music Composer- 61129301814
Project Type: Feature Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: $900 - $2,200/day

Somewhere is hiring a Music Composer for a full-time remote role open to candidates based in the Philippines, South Africa, or Latin America. This position sits at the center of post-production music workflow, covering everything from original score composition to sync licensing and final cue delivery for feature films and reality television projects. It suits a hybrid professional who can move between a DAW and a licensing negotiation without losing a step.

About the Role

Somewhere supports a Florida and Georgia-based law firm with an active media production arm producing feature films and unscripted television content. The Music Composer owns the full music pipeline across both scripted and reality TV formats, from spotting sessions and temp track replacement through to cleared, platform-ready deliverables. A typical day involves composing original cues, sourcing library music, and managing rights clearances across multiple projects in active post-production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compose and produce original music for feature film and reality television production, including themes, underscore, transitions, and scene-specific mood cues.
  • Research and source tracks from music libraries, independent artists, and commercial catalogs that align with the creative direction and budget of each project.
  • Negotiate sync and master licenses directly with rights holders, publishers, and record labels, managing the clearance process from initial request through final agreement.
  • Deliver fully cleared music cues formatted to the technical specifications required by broadcast networks, streaming platforms, theatrical releases, and film festival submissions.
  • Track music budgets across multiple concurrent projects and identify clearance risks early enough to propose cost-effective alternatives without stalling post-production timelines.
  • Work directly with directors, producers, and picture editors to translate creative notes into a cohesive music strategy that serves the story and the cut.

What You Bring

  • Two to five years of experience in music composition, music supervision, or a combined role across film and television production.
  • Verified credits in feature film or reality TV formats, with examples required at application.
  • Working knowledge of sync licensing structures, including master rights, publishing rights, and PRO royalty frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to compose across multiple genres and adapt style to match editorial needs on scripted and unscripted content.
  • Established relationships with music libraries, publishers, or licensing partners are a plus.

Why This Role

Somewhere offers a slate that spans feature film production and episodic unscripted television, giving a Music Composer real range across formats rather than a single production type. The role carries full ownership of both creative output and music clearance workflow, which is a meaningful combination that does not show up often in remote post-production roles. Compensation is $900 to $2,200 per month, with the final offer based on experience and interview results.

Apply now for the Music Composer role at Somewhere and bring your film and television credits to a production team that needs both the creative and the clearance work done right.
