Netflix is hiring a GenAI Technology Integration Manager, Production Solutions for its Production Technology team in Tokyo, Japan. This role sits at the intersection of generative AI and hands-on production workflow, responsible for connecting AI tools to real-world image, sound, and post-production pipeline decisions across Netflix’s APAC slate. It’s a fit for a senior production technologist who has actual set and post credits and can hold a credible conversation with a VFX supervisor and a director in the same breath.

About the Role

The Production Technology team at Netflix works directly with crews, post facilities, and creative leads from capture through delivery, setting technical standards and supporting productions across the global content slate. The GenAI Technology Integration Manager, Production Solutions operates across pre-production, VFX pipeline, and post-production workflow, advising on where generative tools add genuine value versus where traditional methods hold up better. On any given day, that means running live AI tool demonstrations for a production team, consulting on a specific creative challenge, or translating field feedback into scalable guidance for internal partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess productions across image, sound, and 3D asset creation to identify where generative AI tools can meaningfully improve quality, iteration speed, or budget efficiency.
• Develop case studies, training content, and live demonstrations that show production teams how to apply GenAI tools within a real episodic television or feature film production context.
• Consult with directors, producers, and external creative leads to align AI approaches with the core creative vision and integrate them into pre- and post-production workflows.
• Provide time and cost comparisons between AI-assisted and traditional production approaches to support informed decision-making on live projects.
• Ensure all generative AI workflows meet copyright, IP, and data security requirements, working alongside Legal and Content Operations partners.
• Identify and recommend vendors, freelance talent, and studios with proven expertise in generative image, video, audio, and 3D asset production.

What You Bring

• 10 or more years of experience in film, series, gaming, or VFX production with credits that demonstrate end-to-end production knowledge from development through delivery.
• Hands-on experience with AI-based image and video production tools including Midjourney, Veo, Runway, and comparable platforms.
• Proficiency in Unreal Engine, Adobe Premiere, and related industry tools used across VFX pipeline and post-production workflow.
• A portfolio specifically showcasing AI-integrated workflows, process breakdowns, and before-and-after production comparisons.
• Demonstrated ability to present complex technical topics clearly to both creative and non-technical audiences.
