Netflix is hiring a Manager, Marketing Production for its Japan operation, based in Tokyo. This role sits within the Japan marketing team and owns the end-to-end production and delivery of campaign asset suites across paid, earned, and owned channels for Japanese titles, from initial briefing through final trafficking. It suits a senior production leader who has spent their career inside entertainment marketing, managing both the creative output and the operational infrastructure that makes campaigns ship on time.

About the Role

The Manager, Marketing Production reports to the Senior Marketing Director, Japan, and leads a team of marketing production managers responsible for title and brand campaigns across the Netflix Japan slate. Day-to-day work involves overseeing campaign production workflows, localizing global creative for regional relevance, and managing agency and vendor relationships across episodic television and film titles. This is a hands-on people management role, not a purely strategic one, so you will be producing alongside your team while guiding their output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full marketing production workflow for Japan title campaigns, including asset planning, production, trafficking, and final delivery across all channel formats.
  • Lead the localization of global creative materials into regionally relevant campaign extensions that reflect the specific cultural context of the Japan market.
  • Manage agency and vendor partners by defining scope of work, tracking budgets, and holding timelines across the full campaign lifecycle.
  • Serve as the production and operational thought partner for Marketing Managers during campaign development, owning execution from brief to delivery.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across internal teams including Content, Product, and Partnerships, as well as external talent, filmmakers, and showrunners.
  • Identify inefficiencies in production processes and implement systems-level solutions that improve team output and budget performance.

What You Bring

  • 10 or more years of experience in entertainment marketing production, creative production, or marketing-led project management, preferably inside an entertainment brand or production agency.
  • A track record of leading production teams across multi-channel campaign delivery, including digital, OOH, and social formats.
  • Experience managing production budgets and vendor relationships across a regional or international market.
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese, written and spoken, to a professional working standard.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale production workflows, with a systems-thinking approach to team efficiency.

Why This Role

Netflix operates one of the most active original content slates in Japan, spanning theatrical film, episodic television, and anime, giving the Manager, Marketing Production direct exposure to high-profile campaigns at significant scale. The company is known for giving senior production leaders real ownership over process and output rather than layering decisions through committees. For a production professional looking to build and run a team inside a major streaming operation, this is a role with genuine scope.
