Paramount Global is hiring an Entertainment Tonight Production Assistant to join the CBS Media Ventures team in New York, NY. This role sits inside ET’s NYC bureau, where the PA works directly under a Supervising Producer to manage media assets, support field and studio shoots, and keep raw footage moving through the entertainment news production workflow. It’s built for someone with sharp editorial instincts who knows syndicated television and wants to grow inside a major broadcast news operation.

About the Role

The Entertainment Tonight Production Assistant is embedded in ET’s NYC bureau, covering exclusives, features, red carpet events, and set visits for the number one entertainment news program in syndication. Day to day, this person is the link between incoming footage and finished segments, building organized folders that producers can write directly from, pulling archival assets, and transcribing celebrity interviews on deadline. When breaking news hits, this PA is expected to recognize usable vault material and flag it before anyone else does.

Key Responsibilities

• Ingest shoot footage, log and label media assets, and build segment folders that support the broadcast and digital production workflow for Entertainment Tonight.
• Transcribe celebrity interviews, field shoots, and morning news broadcasts accurately and on deadline so producers can identify usable sound bites quickly.
• Pull b-roll, photos, social clips, and archival material while tracking rights and credits across all asset types used in episodic television packaging.
• Support the prep and execution of ET exclusives and features, including interview setups, shoot logistics, and package assembly.
• Monitor morning shows and podcasts to surface newsworthy moments before they cycle through the rest of the entertainment news pipeline.
• Provide on-the-ground crew support during field shoots and studio productions, including errands and general production assistance as needed.

What You Bring

• Encyclopedic pop culture knowledge, including the ability to identify celebrity faces and names quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Experience in television production, broadcast journalism, or a related field through internship, coursework, or prior PA work.
• Strong transcription skills and comfort working with raw field footage in a broadcast post-production environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to work across departments inside a large syndicated television operation.
• Candidates must pass a short celebrity knowledge quiz as part of the hiring process.
