A confidential creative agency based in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire is hiring a Contract Video Editor to join their post-production team on an initial temporary basis. This role sits within a client-facing production workflow, with the editor responsible for delivering polished video content across multiple formats and distribution platforms. It suits an experienced editor who is equally comfortable cutting long-form content and short-form social deliverables, and who has a working knowledge of motion graphics and animation.

About the Role

The post-production team works across a broad range of client projects, producing content that spans promotional video, branded content, and animated deliverables. Day to day, the Contract Video Editor will move between editing raw footage, building motion graphics, and refining colour and audio within a structured post-production workflow. The role runs Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, and requires someone who can manage multiple project timelines without losing consistency across deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into finished videos that meet client briefs, maintaining visual consistency and editorial rhythm throughout.
• Design and integrate motion graphics, animations, and visual effects using Adobe After Effects or equivalent compositing software.
• Perform colour correction and audio mixing as part of a complete post-production pipeline from assembly cut through to final export.
• Prepare and compress deliverables formatted for broadcast, web, and social media distribution channels.
• Work directly with the creative team to interpret project requirements and develop editing approaches that meet or exceed the brief.
• Research and apply current editing techniques to keep the agency’s output in line with industry standards.

What You Bring

• A professional portfolio demonstrating previous work as a video editor across varied content types and output formats.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable editing and compositing tools.
• Solid understanding of post-production workflow including colour grading, audio mixing, motion design, and file compression.
• Experience editing content at different lengths for distribution across multiple platforms, from broadcast to short-form digital.
• A detail-oriented approach that holds up under tight deadlines across concurrent projects.
