Production Assistant

Premier League Studios is hiring a Production Assistant to join its Programming department at its studio base in Kensington Olympia, London. This role sits at the operational heart of a live and studio television production environment, supporting multiple programme strands from development through to delivery. It suits someone who has already done time as a runner or junior PA and is ready to take on more structured production management support across a high-volume broadcast slate.

About the Role

Premier League Studios launched at the start of the 2026/27 season as the Premier League’s in-house media production and distribution operation, responsible for international content across broadcast television and digital platforms. The Production Assistant reports directly to the Production Manager and works across several concurrent productions, including live studio programmes, making this a genuinely varied production television role. A typical day involves coordinating crew bookings, tracking costs against budgets, managing call sheets, and keeping scheduling records accurate in Xytech or equivalent workforce management tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate shoot logistics for productions in the UK and occasionally internationally, covering crew bookings, location sourcing, camera kit, travel, accommodation, visas, and carnets.
• Prepare and distribute call sheets across multiple live and studio television productions running concurrently within the Programming department.
• Raise work orders and process invoices, monitoring costs and tracking spend against agreed production budgets.
• Maintain accurate scheduling and workforce records using Xytech or equivalent broadcast scheduling software.
• Operate autocue and contribute to scripting duties as part of the studio production rota.
• Support Health and Safety compliance processes across all productions, flagging issues to the Production Coordinator or Production Manager as required.

What You Bring

• Previous experience working as a Production Assistant or runner in a television or broadcast production environment.
• Hands-on administrative experience in a production office, including invoice processing and budget tracking.
• Familiarity with Xytech or comparable scheduling tools used in broadcast television workflows.
• Availability to work rota-based weekends and late shifts aligned to the football calendar.
• Comfort working across live studio production and location shoots, including occasional international travel with visa and carnet management.
