Diakrit is hiring a Casual Real Estate Videographer and Drone Operator based out of Melbourne. This role sits within Diakrit’s field production team, responsible for delivering polished property videos and aerial drone footage for prestige real estate clients across the Melbourne market. It suits an independent operator who already shoots real estate video professionally and can manage a full shoot day solo without hand-holding.

About the Role

This is a casual position within Diakrit’s videography community, meaning you pick up shoots as they come through rather than working fixed hours. A typical day involves arriving at a residential or commercial property, executing a gimbal-driven walkthrough on a Sony full-frame body, and capturing aerial footage with a DJI drone to round out the property video package. Occasionally, the role extends to event video production, covering seminars or workshops with clean audio capture and solid compositional control.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute gimbal-operated walkthrough sequences on Sony full-frame cameras to produce real estate video content that meets Diakrit’s delivery standards.
• Operate a DJI Mini 3, Mini 4, Air 3, or Mavic 3 drone to capture aerial videography and photography that contextualises property location and scale.
• Manage shoot logistics independently across multiple property locations in a single day, including setup, talent direction, and pack-down without on-site support.
• Record event video production coverage at client seminars or workshops, prioritising wireless lapel audio quality and clean single-camera composition.
• Maintain and transport your own kit, including a 16-35mm and 50mm lens set, gimbal with vertical filming capability, and wireless lapel microphone system.
• Take on drone photography jobs as required, with training provided by Diakrit for operators who have videography experience but limited stills background.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience in real estate video production or architectural videography, evidenced by a portfolio of gimbal and drone work.
• A current CASA Remote Pilot Licence or equivalent certification for legal drone operation in Australian airspace.
• Ownership of a Sony full-frame camera body, compatible gimbal with vertical bracket, and a DJI drone at or above Mini 3 specification.
• Prior event video production credits where clean audio capture and strong composition were central to the brief.
• A wireless lapel microphone system, Sony, Rode, or DJI preferred, with the ability to deploy it effectively in variable acoustic environments.
