Working within the content and marketing arm of a live auction operation, the Social Media Video Editor reviews roughly 40 hours of weekly live-stream footage and cuts it down into daily 20-to-60-second clips ready for social distribution. The post-production workflow runs on a Monday through Friday schedule after 9pm PST, with finished cuts and captions due each morning for review. Think of it less like a traditional edit bay and more like a daily news clip operation, where speed, instinct, and consistency carry the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen approximately 40 hours of weekly live auction footage to identify top-selling moments, high-energy customer interactions, and standout product reveals worth clipping.
• Produce polished short-form social media clips in the 20-to-60-second range, applying music, captions, and platform-specific finishing touches for each piece.
• Deliver a completed batch of clips and copy each morning ahead of the team’s review window, maintaining a consistent content pipeline without gaps.
• Record or capture live auction streams directly to ensure source footage is available and ready for the editing process.
• Integrate AI tools including ChatGPT into the post-production workflow to improve turnaround speed and maintain content consistency across daily output.
• Adapt editing style to reflect auction results, product value, and audience engagement signals specific to live shopping platforms.

What You Bring

• Proven short-form video editing credits, with a portfolio that demonstrates work across social media content production.
