About the Role

The Video Editor at Army Pink works directly with an existing archive of recorded footage, including first-person survivor interviews that form the backbone of the organization’s awareness and fundraising content. Day-to-day work involves reviewing raw recordings, building narrative cuts, and shaping sequences that serve both emotional resonance and clear communication goals. This is a post-production ownership role, not a support position, so the editor drives editorial decisions from first assembly through final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and log raw interview footage, flagging selects that serve narrative clarity and support the editorial direction of each project.
• Cut documentary-style sequences from first assembly to picture lock, managing pacing and story structure across short and long-form formats.
• Balance and sweeten dialogue-heavy audio tracks, ensuring interview recordings are clean, consistent, and broadcast-ready.
• Adapt edits for platform-specific delivery, including YouTube long-form, social media cutdowns, and internal community communications.
• Maintain an organized post-production workflow across the full footage archive, including file management, versioning, and export specs.
• Approach all survivor footage with editorial sensitivity, applying story judgment that honors the voices of the people on camera.

What You Bring

• Proven credits in documentary editing, non-fiction post-production, or interview-driven video content at a professional level.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or a comparable non-linear editing system used in current post-production pipelines.
• Experience editing for YouTube channels and social platforms, with an understanding of format requirements and audience retention pacing.
• Comfort working with emotionally sensitive source material, including personal testimony and first-person survivor accounts.
• Strong organizational habits for managing large footage libraries across an ongoing editorial schedule.
