About the Role
The Print & Creative Production Assistant reports to the Head of Creative and Marketing Operations at The Folio Society, an employee-owned independent publisher working from Shad Thames in central London. Day to day, this person moves between tracking print schedules for catalogues and brochures, coordinating supplier proofing and press passes, organising Digital Asset Management, and supporting photography and video production logistics. It is genuinely entry-level, with a structured first-year training programme built into the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate artwork circulation across print production workflows, tracking amends, approvals, and external supplier proofing for catalogues and direct mail campaigns.
- Liaise with printers and attend press passes for Folio catalogue print runs, monitoring schedules and delivery deadlines throughout.
- Maintain print specifications and production documentation, and circulate finished printed materials to relevant internal teams on time.
- Support the planning and logistics of photography and video shoots, including sourcing and organising books and props for content creation.
- Manage the Digital Asset Management system by ensuring imagery, video, and artwork files are correctly labelled, archived, and version-controlled.
- Raise purchase orders and process supplier invoices, keeping project documentation current across all active creative production workflows.
What You Bring
- A recent graduate qualification in graphic design, marketing, creative media, photography, or a closely related subject.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks across print production and creative schedules.
- Some experience with Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Creative Cloud, even if limited to academic or personal projects.
- Familiarity with Digital Asset Management systems, or a clear interest in learning them, is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of photography or video editing is beneficial but not required to apply.
