Project Type: Feature Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Amazon MGM Studios is hiring a Creative Mixing Lead for its AI-Assisted Dubbing, Localization Enablement and Accessibility Programs (LEAP) team, based in Culver City, CA. This role sits within the audio post-production workflow for Prime Video’s dubbed title delivery, where the work centers on preserving sonic fidelity, spatial coherence, and the artistic intent of original mixes across a large localization portfolio. It suits an experienced re-recording mixer or audio post specialist who understands both the craft side of dialogue, music, and effects balancing and the quality systems that support high-volume episodic and feature film delivery.

About the Role

The LEAP team operates at the intersection of audio post-production and AI-assisted localization, handling dubbed versions of Prime Video titles that include major series and films such as Reacher, The Boys, Fallout, and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Day to day, this means reviewing and approving AI-assisted mixes, evaluating DME balance and loudness compliance, and working directly with AI engineers and voice synthesis specialists to close gaps between automated output and broadcast-ready masters. The Creative Mixing Lead for AI-Assisted Dubbing, Localization Enablement and Accessibility Programs is the final creative authority before a dubbed title ships to customers across thousands of devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI-assisted audio mixes for dialogue intelligibility, reverb matching, dynamic range, and format-specific loudness compliance across the dubbed title portfolio.
  • Approve final stems, mix configurations, and deliverable masters for dubbed content in coordination with Dubbing Creative Leads and quality teams.
  • Interpret audience research and quality data to make per-title creative decisions about dialogue processing, spatial placement, and tonal consistency.
  • Direct the output of internal mix operators and external post-production partners to maintain sonic consistency across the localization pipeline.
  • Contribute to the development of internal SOPs that standardize mixing delivery and quality review workflows across the LEAP program.
  • Identify repeatable mechanisms within the post-production workflow that improve efficiency without compromising mix quality.

What You Bring

  • Substantial credits in audio post-production mixing for episodic television or feature film, ideally including dubbed or localized content.
  • Hands-on experience with DME splitting, stem configuration, and loudness standards across broadcast and streaming delivery formats.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted audio tools or voice synthesis pipelines is a meaningful advantage in this role.
  • Ability to work with autonomy across multiple titles simultaneously while communicating clearly with engineering, science, and creative teams.
  • Experience developing or contributing to quality control processes or SOPs within a post-production or localization environment.

Why This Role

Amazon MGM Studios sits behind one of the largest streaming catalogs in the world, and the LEAP team is actively shaping how dubbed content reaches global audiences at scale. For a mixer who wants to work at the point where craft audio post-production meets AI development, this is a rare staff position inside a studio with both the resources and the production slate to make that work matter. The Creative Mixing Lead for AI-Assisted Dubbing, Localization Enablement and Accessibility Programs role offers direct influence over quality standards that affect titles seen by millions of Prime Video subscribers.
