About the Role
The Coordinator, Content Strategy and Acquisitions works within the scheduling function of a major multi-network programmer, touching both day-to-day schedule operations and the evaluation of potential acquired content. A typical day involves maintaining network schedules in rights and scheduling software, pulling Nielsen data into performance trackers, and contributing research that feeds acquisition decisions. The work is detail-heavy and deadline-driven, with direct visibility into how programming stunts and theatrical inventory are built and executed across episodic television and film.
Key Responsibilities
- Input and maintain network schedules and supporting metadata across companywide scheduling and rights management software, including What’s On.
- Run quality control checks to confirm that all weekly and monthly schedules are accurately entered and consistent across platforms.
- Update Nielsen ratings performance trackers daily and manage competitive programming documentation across all AMC Networks properties.
- Pull and organize data supporting the evaluation of potential acquired content for linear and streaming distribution.
- Contribute to programming and acquisition presentation decks, including monthly theatrical inventory updates and schedule conflict reporting.
- Participate in scheduling team brainstorms and support the execution of monthly programming stunts across the cable and streaming portfolio.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree and one to three years of relevant experience in entertainment, media, or television programming.
- Hands-on proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in media scheduling software, preferably What’s On.
- Comfort managing large volumes of detailed scheduling and rights data under tight deadlines.
- Working knowledge of the film and television landscape across both linear and streaming distribution models.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting information to multiple levels of management.
