Job Type
Disney is hiring an Associate Producer, Franchise Creative for its Disney Digital Entertainment division, based in Glendale, CA. This role sits within the games production pipeline, supporting franchise creative staff across multiple game development projects tied to Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel properties. It suits a producer who has actually shipped titles and knows how to keep a complex approval chain moving without losing the thread.
About the Role
Disney Digital Entertainment is building out a game experience rooted in its major franchise IP, and this Associate Producer sits at the intersection of external partner management and internal stakeholder alignment. Day to day, that means tracking submissions, chasing feedback loops, sitting in production meetings, playing game builds, and helping senior producers put together presentations for executive review. This is a hands-on production role, not a coordination title, and the volume of concurrent projects is real.
Key Responsibilities
- Track all partner submissions across a slate of multiple projects and manage the approval pipeline to ensure stakeholders receive and return feedback on schedule.
- Capture meeting notes, convert discussions into clearly assigned action items, and follow up across teams to keep production milestones on track.
- Play game development builds and generate brand and qualitative feedback that informs partner direction and franchise alignment.
- Provide brand guidance to external game development partners working within Disney franchise creative standards.
- Support senior production staff in building presentations and product demos for management and internal stakeholders across business units.
- Coordinate across studio franchises and internal departments to surface issues early and move toward solutions before they affect delivery.
What You Bring
- At least two years of production experience specifically in console, mobile, PC, or AR/VR game development, with at least one shipped title that included live operations.
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Airtable, plus fluency in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies as applied to game production workflow.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of delivering clear, direct feedback to external partners and internal teams alike.
- Genuine familiarity with Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, 20th Century, and Marvel franchises at a level that informs brand feedback.
- A valid US passport and willingness to travel to meet with development partners.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and production experience.
