Senior Video Editor

LMD, a full-service marketing and branding agency based in Columbia, Maryland, is hiring a Senior Video Editor to join their in-house post-production team. This role sits inside LMD’s Video Department, where the editor is responsible for taking raw footage through the full post-production workflow to deliver polished short-form and long-form content across a range of client accounts. It suits an experienced editor who has worked across agency or branded content environments and knows how to serve a brand’s visual identity while keeping the storytelling tight.

About the Role

The Senior Video Editor works directly within LMD’s Video Department alongside Account Managers and client stakeholders, managing post-production schedules across multiple concurrent projects. Day-to-day output includes everything from social media cutdowns formatted for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, to longer branded content pieces requiring color grading, motion graphics, and closed captioning to 508 compliance standards. This is a hybrid position with regular time at LMD’s Columbia, Maryland headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into polished short-form and long-form video content that meets each client’s brand and communication goals.
• Finalize deliverables with music, sound design, color grading, graphics, captions, and visual effects using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Optimize and format video deliverables for multiple platforms, including slated and unslated versions, open and closed captioning, and 508-compliant outputs.
• Select and integrate stock footage, royalty-free music, and sound effects in a way that serves the editorial and maintains brand consistency.
• Maintain organized project file structures and manage video asset libraries across multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Coordinate with the Video Department and Account Managers to track and meet post-production deadlines without compromising deliverable quality.

What You Bring

• A minimum of seven years of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates range across branded content and social media formats.
• Hands-on proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with working knowledge of Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Solid understanding of broadcast technical specifications, video codecs, export settings, and delivery standards across multiple platforms.
• Experience cutting short-form social content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts is a strong asset.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must be located in the DMV area and able to travel to LMD’s Columbia, Maryland headquarters.
