This is a live performance engagement operating within the branded entertainment and promotional appearance space, placing performers directly on the convention floor during San Diego Comic Con on July 23, 24, and 25. Each performer is cast to a specific American Horror Story character, and the work involves continuous crowd interaction, photo opportunities, and unscripted engagement with attendees throughout each shift. The workflow is physical and improvisational, with no stage separation between performer and audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Portray assigned American Horror Story characters with fidelity to established character voice, physicality, and presence throughout convention floor appearances.
• Engage convention attendees through spontaneous, character-consistent improv, maintaining performance quality across extended crowd interaction periods.
• Female character roles require outgoing presentation and comfort leading unscripted audience engagement in high-volume live event settings.
• One male character role requires wearing a full skin latex suit and is scheduled for Saturday, July 25 only, demanding physical comfort with costume requirements.
• A second male character role requires the performer to be bald or willing to shave, with strong crowd improv skills central to the performance demands.
• Submit height and relevant live performance, character work, or promotional appearance credits as part of your application materials.

What You Bring

• Prior experience in character performance, live event work, theme park performance, or convention appearance roles.
• Demonstrated improv skills, either through formal training or documented live performance experience.
• Physical availability for all three convention dates: Thursday July 23, Friday July 24, and Saturday July 25.
• Local to San Diego, as no travel or accommodation is provided.
• Comfort with costume requirements specific to your character, including latex suits or hair requirements as applicable.
